Admissions Alumni Ambassador ProgramThe Office of Admissions Alumni Ambassador program was initiated in 1982 as an opportunity for dedicated Colorado State University alumni to help the Office of Admissions recruit quality students from across the country to Colorado State. Alumni volunteers help extend our outreach to prospective and admitted students and their parents. There are four different areas where Admissions Alumni Ambassadors can volunteer their efforts. College Fairs
Fairs are held throughout the fall and spring, usually at local high schools. Ambassadors represent Colorado State University by distributing materials, answering general questions regarding the University, and encouraging students to complete the information request card. The cards are the basis for all future contact we have with prospective students. Early Advising SessionsThese programs are held in select major cities across the country. Admitted new freshmen and their parents are invited to meet with academic faculty/staff to learn more about the advising process at Colorado State and to identify appropriate classes students will need to register for the fall semester. Admissions Alumni Ambassadors are needed in the spring to assist Admissions Counselors and Faculty/staff advisers with these programs. Information SessionsThese programs are offered throughout the year both in-state and out-of-state and at times are held in conjunction with a University related event such as a football game, Bowl game or with an Early Advising Session. At an Information Session students and their families have the opportunity to meet first-hand with admissions staff, faculty and Colorado State alumni from their area. Important information is shared about our admission requirements and application process, academic programs of study, housing, financial aid and scholarships, and student life. Student ContactAdmissions Alumni Ambassadors have the opportunity to personally contact and/or be contacted by students in their local areas. Participate in mailing congratulation cards to admitted students in your area each spring. Help be a local contact to share your experiences and address questions and concerns students and their parents may have about Colorado State University.
